YABC - Youth Anti-bullying Council
YABC is collection of young people who are actively working to change the way bullying is dealt with.
In many schools,college and other assiciations bullying a very taboo subject and many would deny any bullying is present in their environment. As a group we know that this is untrue, however we are aiming to help all victims, bullies and indeed their friends and families.
Many of us are trained as peer mentors meaning that we can be there as an informal counsellor to help any young people overcome any bulling problems. We pride ourselves on being purely youth orientated as we believe that quite often youth to youth advice can be the most successful. We do work closely with Chris Stansfield (Anti-Bullying Consultant for North Lincolnshire) so reassuring help is always at hand!
